Expert Nutrition & Lactation Support for Growing Families
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get started?
To begin, navigate to the Verify Insurance Coverage page and click on the links to verify coverage. This will take you to a third-party website that verifies insurance coverage for lactation and nutrition services.
I'm covered by insurance!
Now what?
For lactation services, once insurance is verified, I will reach out to you by email and phone/text to set up an initial consultation. I will contact you within 24 hours of insurance verification. For nutrition services, you will schedule your initial consultation on the Fay Nutrition website or app.
Do you have an office or do you only provide home visits?
At this time, I only provide home visits for in-person assistance. Virtual appointments are also available.
Do you accept Medicaid?
At this time, I do not accept Medicaid. Florida does not allow IBCLCs to bill independently to Medicaid for lactation services. I offer lactation services to Medicaid Insurance holders for $75 per consultation. Proof of active Medicaid insurance required.
What if I don't have insurance or if you don't accept my insurance?
I can create a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. The rate for lactation services is $150 per hour without insurance coverage. The rate for nutrition services is $75 per hour without insurance.
Do you only help with breastfeeding?
I assist mothers and babies with their feeding goals and that includes breastfeeding, pumping, formula, and mixed feedings. I can also provide nutrition services to mom and other family members.
